Status of Employment: Full-Time, Year Round
Compensation: $48,000 to $70,000 depending on education and experience

Summary: Zionsville Youth Soccer Association is looking for a Facilities Director who will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining the clubs facilities and grounds. This position will report to the Director of Operations.

About the Club: Our mission as a non-profit organization is to allow all to develop, grow, and excel as a player and as a person through the pursuit of excellence at all levels of youth soccer. ZYSA was founded in 1979 and currently serves for than 1700 youth across central Indiana each year. The club serves youth ages U5-U18 and offers
programs for adults, inner city youth, and children with special needs.

Our philosophy centers upon a player’s long-term development.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, preventative and corrective maintenance of all athletic fields, buildings,Mand common areas
  • Perform mowing, trimming, and lining of fields to ensure they are in optimal condition for use
  • Develop, implement, and follow a chemical and fertilizer plan for the fields, including applications, seeding, top dressing, aeration, and irrigation
  • Coordinate and manage all volunteers as needed for various tasks related to facility upkeep and game days
  • Operate and maintain all equipment
  • Ability to keep accurate records including chemical spray records, maintenance logs, and be able to manage a budget
  • Be able to manage full-time and part-time employees as per operational needs
  • Prepare fields for game days and practice days, including setting up goals, sandbags, nets, corner flags, benches, and trash cans
  • Ensure the upkeep of the garage, storage areas, clubhouse, and indoor facility
  • Coordinate game and practice schedule calendars, including recreational, travel, and all leagues
  • Construct, install, maintain, and repair site amenities to include but not limited to signs, bathrooms, and bleachers/benches
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and have the ability to collaborate with peers and leadership team
  • Proactive thinking as it relates to continued grounds maintenance and the continued improvements of the overall campus.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in turf management or a related field, or at least 3+ years of experience in turf management without a degree
  • Valid Indiana chemical applicators license or the ability to obtain one within 1-year of employment
  • Legal resident of the United States with a valid Indiana driver’s license is required
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift 25-50 lbs. as necessary
  • Moderate level of knowledge in equipment maintenance is preferred
  • Willingness and ability to work varied schedules, including weekends and some evenings

  • Complete 90-day introductory evaluation period satisfactorily
  • Provide copy of pesticide applicators license for State of Indiana within (1) year of employment and renew license as required
