The Fifth Annual SFMA Stars & Stripes Contest gets underway Wed., June 16. SFMA members are encouraged to submit their Fourth of July themed field designs using mowing patterns and/or paint. Entries will be submitted via Facebook through Sun., July 11, with votes cast via social media from July 12-18.

The design receiving the most votes will be crowned 2021 champion and earn the Grand Prize of complimentary registration to the 2022 SFMA Annual Conference in Savannah, Georgia. Due to the pandemic, SFMA did not conduct this contest in 2020. The 2019 winner was Ryder Haulk and his team at Purdue University. Haulk teamed with Brian Bornino, CSFM to include 50 stars and 13 stripes within the iconic Purdue “P” at Bittinger Stadium.
