Penn State Extension offers professional development for the green industry

Green industry professionals are invited to professional development and networking opportunities offered by Penn State Extension January 6, 2020, at Delaware Valley University, 700 E. Butler Ave., Doylestown, Pa. 

Each year, the Southeast Pennsylvania Green Industry Conference provides green industry professionals in the region with an opportunity to stay up-to-date on the latest research, techniques, and technology to help their businesses succeed. This conference also provides a wealth of opportunities for attendees to earn pesticide recertification credits, continuing education units (CEUs) for a variety of professional certifications, and network with colleagues, industry experts, college and university faculty, regulatory experts, and Penn State Extension educators.

The conference features educational breakout sessions for participants to choose from based on their career interests and business goals. Breakout session tracks include landscaping, turfgrass, greenhouse and floriculture, green stormwater infrastructure, and overall green industry topics. Topics within these tracks cover a broad range of issues from design and installation, to production best-management practices and pest management, to workforce and leadership development, and more.
