The Athletic Fields Groundskeeper works as part of a team to provide Athletic Field and grounds maintenance services for the school. The Westminster Schools is located in northern Atlanta with a 200 acre campus and 11 1/2 acres of athletic turf. This person must be reliable, adaptable, honest, safety oriented, customer focused and have the mindset of exceeding expectations daily.
Supervisor: Grounds Manager
Position Status: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, Regular, 12-month position.
Hours of Work: Evening, Weekend, and Overtime is required based on calendar events.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out; and smell. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may frequently walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
